Designing for Conversion - #sdmbos

What is conversion? It's a focus on turning visitors to your website into users. We'll be looking at design, user experience, registration flow and copy on a few, selected social startups.

We'll be joined by Joshua Porter, author of Designing for the Social Web, and VP of Product and Community at Performable. Joshua will be moderating the discussion as the audience provides feedback with a focus on converting visitors into registered users. Check out his amazing presentation on Designing for Social Traction: http://www.slideshare.net/bokardo/designing-for-social-traction

If you're interested in presenting your existing registration flow or wireframes for a flow you're designing, please contact me, Kabir, at sdm@riotvine.com

Designers! Come and check out what local web startups are working on. It's a great opportunity to provide feedback where it's needed, make an impact and meet other designers. We'll provide the beer and pizza.

Social Design Meet

The goal of the Social Design Meet is to help designers build the next generation of great social apps.

Designing in a bubble often leads to a lack of empathy for the people we create products for, and a focus on user experience is required for a product to be great.

We believe a community around social design will foster greater innovation in Boston.
